Different Types of Insurance Policies ?
What's Insurance? A term you've probably heard, and might not even understand what it means.
What is Life Insurance? Life insurance is a type of insurance that protects you against death or the inability to pay out claims from a policy. It is commonly purchased by people who are close to retirement age. It is usually a type of policy that is bought by family members or friends.
What is Liability Insurance? Liability insurance, also known as personal property insurance or PPO, is an insurance coverage that some insurers will require for you to safeguard your interests should you fail to pay your insurance premiums. It does not cover you in case of loss from natural disasters or other causes, however.
What is Homeowners Insurance? Homeowners insurance provides financial protection for the personal property that is owned by the homeowner and which is at risk of loss as a result of damage, theft, flood and fire. Homeowners insurance is usually a type of home insurance that is purchased by family members or close friends.
What is Car Insurance? Car insurance is similar to Life Insurance in that it is also a type of insurance that protects the homeowner. However, car insurance protects the assets that you own, such as a car, rather than just the physical property. Car insurance has the same coverage and premiums as other types of insurance.
Term life insurance is an alternative form of insurance and is sometimes preferred by many because of the low premium that it provides. As the name suggests, term life insurance is intended to provide protection for a certain amount of time, typically between one year and thirty years. It is often called universal or permanent life insurance.
What's Health Insurance? Health insurance is insurance that some lenders will require for you to safeguard your financial interests if you fail to pay your health insurance premium on time. It does not provide coverage for accidents, illnesses, or health conditions like cancer. Instead, it protects against the risk of medical expenses and the expense of treatment for illnesses or injuries that you might sustain during a period of time when you are not receiving medical treatment. Health insurance provides the funds needed for emergency care and for those who can't afford to wait for medical attention.
What's Homeowners? Homeowners insurance is an insurance policy that protects you against the risk of property loss from a natural disaster or other cause that damages your home or another property owned by you. It can be purchased as a standalone policy or can be added onto your existing home and contents insurance.
As you can see, there are many different types of insurance policies. Most of them are important to ensure financial protection, but they do not necessarily have to be expensive to have the coverage you need. Remember that the purpose of insurance is to protect you from the risks that could occur and to make it possible for you to continue living a comfortable lifestyle. Always do your research on the different types of policies and compare them to find the right one for you.
